Keshia Kola
Keshia is a TV/ Feature genre writer specializing in Comedy and Sci-Fi. She considers herself an escape artist and an adventurous comedian on paper.
"I love escapism and throwing characters down rabbit holes to see how they tackle life's challenges using their natural superpowers. "
Her comedy seeds bloomed from the concrete jungles of Cincinnati and all the lavish opportunities it had to offer a sci-fi nerd of color - absolutely none - She Indiana Jonesed her way to Hollywood with her trusty whip and wit crafting comedy scripts that have accumulated 12 accolades that twice put her on the shortlist for Coverfly’s 2021 & 2022 Pitch Week for HORIZON and THE MESHUGA METHOD.
Her coolest accomplishments include curating and compiling the Cultural Thesaurus, an online reference site that features urban slang synonyms and authoring the Shesaurus, a gender based dictionary-thesaurus featuring LGBTQIA+ terms not found in today’s biased dictionaries.
She studied screenwriting through UCLA's Extension Program, Script Anatomy and has a BA in media studies from the University of Cincinnati.
